The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially announced its recruitment drive for 2025. This blog gives you a complete, clear, and concise overview of the key dates, eligibility criteria, reservation guidelines, exam pattern, and application process.
Important Dates
- Start of Online Application: 02nd June 2025
- Last Date to Apply: 23rd June 2025 (up to 11:00 PM)
- Last Date for Fee Payment: 24th June 2025 (up to 11:00 PM)
- Application Correction Window: 28th – 30th June 2025 (up to 11:00 PM)
- CBE Exam Dates (Tentative): 24th July – 04th August 2025
Scheme of Examination (CBE)
The SSC exam will be Computer-Based and objective-type. There are three levels, based on the minimum required qualification:
- Matriculation
- Higher Secondary (10+2)
- Graduation & above
Each level tests candidates in four core subjects:

Fee Exemption: SC, ST, PwBD, Women, and eligible Ex-Servicemen
Last Date to Pay: 24th June 2025 (11:00 PM)
How to Apply
- Apply separately for each post category.
- Submit online via ssc.gov.in or the mySSC Mobile App.
- Register afresh on the new portal (old OTR not valid).
- Use Adhar for faster authentication.
- Capture live photograph during application.
- Upload signature (JPEG/JPG – 10–20 KB, size: 6.0 cm × 2.0 cm).
- Carefully preview the form before submission.
- Only one application per post category is allowed.
- Incomplete or incorrect applications will be rejected.

Reservation, Fee Concession & Age Relaxation Guidelines
SC/ST Candidates
- Must submit valid caste certificate issued by a competent authority in the prescribed format.
- The certificate must confirm the candidate belongs to a Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe.
- No relaxation or reservation will be granted without a valid document.
OBC Candidates
- Candidates claiming OBC status must belong to the Non-Creamy Layer as of 01.08.2025.
- They must provide an OBC certificate issued in the prescribed format by a competent authority.
- Their claims will be treated as provisional until verification is completed by the appointing authority.
PwBD Candidates
- Only persons with benchmark disabilities as defined under relevant acts are eligible.
- They must possess a valid certificate issued by the notified medical authorities.
- PwBD candidates are entitled to relaxation in age, fee, and are eligible for reservation.
- Candidates should verify if the post applied is suitable for their disability type and percentage.
- Reservation is applicable only for Group ‘C’ posts.
- ESM must produce a Discharge Certificate and a prescribed Declaration when asked.
- The authorities will reject their claim if they don’t provide proper documentation.
- Candidates availing the ESM quota cannot claim reservation under other categories simultaneously unless eligible.
