TNPSC CTSE Non-Interview Posts 2026 – 461 Vacancies
The Combined Technical Services Examination (Non-Interview Posts) includes vacancies in a wide range of technical, scientific, engineering, library, statistical, agricultural, environmental and other specialized posts.

TNPSC CTSE Non-Interview Examination
The Combined Technical Services Examination (Non-Interview Posts) is conducted as a single-stage written examination.
After the written examination, candidates may be called for onscreen certificate verification, physical certificate verification and counselling wherever applicable.
There is no interview for these posts.
Final selection is based on the marks obtained in Part B and Part C of Paper I and Paper II, subject to the rule of reservation.
TNPSC CTSE Paper I
Paper I consists of:
Part A – Tamil Eligibility Test
Part B – General Studies
Part C – Aptitude and Mental Ability
For posts other than Translator, Paper I carries 150 marks and has a duration of 3 hours. The examination is conducted through OMR.
TNPSC CTSE Paper II
Paper II is the subject-specific technical paper.
Paper II consists of 200 questions, carries 300 marks and has a duration of 3 hours.
The examination is conducted through Computer Based Test (CBT).
Paper II is conducted at Degree / PG Degree standard depending on the subject.
The total marks considered for most posts are 450, comprising Part B and Part C of Paper I and Paper II.
Tamil Eligibility Test
Candidates must secure the minimum qualifying mark of 40%, which is 60 marks, in Part A of Paper I.
Paper II and Parts B and C of Paper I will be evaluated only if the candidate secures the minimum qualifying marks in the Tamil Eligibility Test.

Application and One Time Registration
Candidates must complete One Time Registration (OTR) before applying for the examination.
The OTR registration fee is Rs.150 and the registration is valid for five years.
OTR is not an application for the examination. Candidates must submit a separate online application for the recruitment.
A valid email ID and mobile number are mandatory for OTR.
Aadhaar linking with OTR is mandatory.
Examination Fee
The examination fee is Rs.100 unless the candidate is eligible for fee exemption.
For every additional subject paper selected, an additional Rs.100 has to be paid.
Candidates should carefully select the subject paper based on their prescribed educational qualification.
